We meet and talk in a semi-structured way. I ask pointed questions. You get some homework. A typical calibration process includes four virtual sessions on:
- Brand Positioning - how are you different to competitors, what’s unique about your brand, what’s your value proposition? What is your brand story?
- Customer Discovery – who are your ideal customers, what do they value, what language do they respond to and where can we find them?
- Brand Vibe and Energy – what should your brand feel like to your audience? What is the underlying story you tell? What’s the energy in the brand, and what’s its personality?
- Core Message – having discovered your ideal customers, what do we say to them? What does the brand stand for, and what does it stand against? what does your brand promise your customers?
Sometimes the topics merge as we go with the flow, but we will cover all those themes by the end. The main thing is to go in with an open mind and a can-do attitude, as I know you will. Overall, the project will always progress at your pace.

That said, no - you probably don't need a fancy logo, at least at this stage. Logos won't sell your product or service. They are simply containers for your brand story.
